UNIGE Faculty of MedicineFacMed Hack #1Digital Phenotyping of Mental Health

Prizes

Three things to win, at three moments of the programme: vouchers for the people who feed the needs library now, prizes for the teams that build in November, and support for the projects that come out of the weekend.

A team presenting on stage to a full auditorium, a network of sensor and health data projected on the screen behind them.

Synapsy voucher for the strongest contributor

CHF 500

Offered by Synapsy — Centre for Neuroscience and Mental Health Research

For the contributor with the most, and most original, needs by 15 October: travel to the hackathon in November for someone coming from afar, or AI and compute credits for a local winner.

  • Ranked by the public leaderboard: originality × quantity, with diminishing returns.
  • Every submission is reviewed for validity before the call closes, and the board is recomputed.
  • Submit as yourself: anonymous needs earn no points and are not eligible.

Fondation Pôle Autisme voucher for child and adolescent mental health

CHF 500

Offered by the Fondation Pôle Autisme, presented by Professor Marie Schaer

For the strongest contribution specific to mental health in connection with developmental disorders in children and adolescents.

  • Chosen among the needs submitted by 15 October that address developmental disorders in children and adolescents.
  • Judged on the strength of the need: how concrete it is, how grounded in practice, and how much of a difference an answer would make.
  • One need can be in the running for both vouchers.

This page is updated as prizes are confirmed. The November prizes and the support after the weekend depend on the sponsors confirmed.

How prizes are decided

  • The Synapsy voucher follows the public leaderboard, checked by the organising team for validity before the call closes.
  • The Fondation Pôle Autisme voucher is chosen by the organising team with Professor Marie Schaer among the eligible needs.
  • Hackathon prizes are awarded by a jury of clinicians, researchers and partners at the public finals, on criteria published with the challenges.
  • Support after the weekend goes to projects the jury has ranked. The organisers decide and are not obliged to give reasons.
  • Vouchers and prizes are personal and cannot be exchanged for cash.

The first prizes are already open

Submit a need before 15 October: it is how you apply, and it puts you in the running for both vouchers.
